Great start to the season against a very tough team.  We will take the tie and hope to make more progress with our team chemistry.  Good job boys! 

We broke the glass with our first goals of the season vs Zion Benton by Dylan W (PK) Cirilo E. (assisted by Dylan W) and Josh Z (assisted by Evan V) Great job and efforts by all as  the EAGLES hung tough in this game and not give up! Keep up the great work boys! 

Had momentum in the first half and lost a hard fought game in the last minute of regulation. Also  had an opportunity to take the lead on a penalty kick as well at the start of the 2nd half.  We will get fired up as we have our first conference match against Wauconda next Wednesday! 

First win of the season for the team and a huge conference win as well!  Our Eagles worked well as a full unit connecting passes and scoring two goals today.  Frist goal off a set play from a corner kick serviced in by Dylan W and headed in by Josh Z. The second goal came off a PK made by Dylan W.  The Eagles had to hold strong in the 2nd half as the pressure was put on by the Bulldogs who scored an early goal in the 2nd half, but that's all they would get as we were able to hold on to win 2-1  Great win boys!!  Lets try to connect a back to back win tomorrow vs Harvard.  

The Eagles gave it their all today.  We went into half only down 1 with a score of 2-1 and a goal by Dylan W. assisted by Evan H.  It was a great connection of passes that developed from midfield and was well executed.  Some other pieces weren't falling together today with our touches getting too far away from us and maybe being a bit tired having played the day before.  Our 2nd goal came late in the 2nd half from the foot of Nico S. coming straight up the field and scoring!    We will gear up for our next match and conference game vs Grayslake North on 9/24.  Lets go EAGLES!  

Nice collective effort today!!  Great team win and another conference win vs the Grayslake Knights.  Goals were both scored by Gabe E. and the first assisted by Evan V from a deep cross from the corner and a nice touch in for the goal and the second assisted came by the foot of Dylan W with a nice connecting pass up the field. Also nice goalie work by Nathan H in the first half and Cirilo E. in the second half to preserve the shutout, our first of the season.  We will need to continue the strong play as we gear up for Round Lake, another tough conference contender on Thursday.  

Tough game vs RL today.  Boys fought hard today.  With only 1 sub on the bench it was difficult to keep fresh legs out there.  We will continue to work on our touches and ball control as we face Lake Zurich tomorrow.  Bright spots of the game include tough defensive play by our back 4 to keep the game from getting blown out and some great saves by Nathan H in goal! Also nice job by our forwards and mids to come back to help later in the game. Goals today were scored by Carlos S assisted by Cirilo E and an unassisted goal by Nico S.  Keep up the great work boys!! 

GRIT!!  That's all I can say!  The boys played hard today to hold onto their one nothing lead vs a very physical Prairie Ridge team. This repeat match-up ended up with an Eagles 

Great win!  Our first back to back wins of the season.  Another wonderful accomplishment for this team.  Wonderful connecting passes today and two nice goals made by Dylan W. from a great hit in the first half from 20yrd out hitting the top right corner and Cael C. who moved up to striker for a bit today made the most of his minutes with a shifty goal in the box. Great overall play by all! 

Great game!  We hung with them throughout the game and felt there was some even game play.  Maybe even some better passing by Lake Forest in the first half and getting to the ball first as well, but we stuck with them with some gritty play and scored mid way through the first half on a nice  throw in by Holden to connect with Gabe E. who put one away from just inside the 18 yd box to give us the lead.  It was all we would need to be victorious on this day.  The 2nd half proved tough as we protected the lead and played tough to keep them from scoring an equalizer. L.F. had many opportunities especially off of some corner kick set plays but Nathan H. made some amazing saves in goal to deny them any chance to come back!  Great game by all and it was a great team victory. 

A big win versus a conference team today!  Also continued success with connecting passes today and did pretty well with first touches overall.  Lakes held tough and won a lot of 50/50 balls.  I'm proud of the gritty play again from this JV 2 team!! We had many chances and shots on goal, but our only goal came off an unselfish play by Evan V. who worked the ball to the box  and went 2 v 1 with Gabe.  He then drew the goalie out and  passed it with a nice touch inside the box where Gabe just had to tap it in.  Nathan did another fabulous job in goal getting the shut out once again along with our shutdown defense.  That's 4 wins in a row all with shutouts.  We move into our last match of the season vs Grayslake Central and have the opportunity to end the season with a winning record.  We currently sit at 4-1 in conference and 6-6-1 overall. 

What a great game!  Well played by all and a great team effort once again.  Great ball movements and continued unself play.  Our defense played lights out and our mids did an amazing job to control the game.
